The Subtle Art of Horizon Gazing

Heartwell Retreats Yoga

Heartwell Retreats is two hours from Atlanta on Lake Hartwell, SC

How does the horizon line relate to your central nervous system?
We have the ability to tap into some deep bodily intelligence through an expansive form of gazing. Your eyes do more than see. The effect of staring out at our only tangible view of the planet we live on can be instantly calming, especially when the view contains water meeting sky. The sunset over the ocean, a beautiful, placid lake…Taking in more than the periphery (expanding our view) actually expands our consciousness and connects us with the entirety.

We are safely held wherever we find ourselves. An essential part of the whole.

This incredible sunset photo was taken from the upper practice space at Heartwell Retreats - a new lakefront venue that explores this type of calming reset to the system. We will be collaborating with Heartwell Retreats in the coming months, offering specialized Yoga Nidra and Forest Bathing practices for retreat attendees.

The first Rest + Restore Fall Retreat is coming up October 6-8, 2023.
