GREEN
green was the silence, wet was the light, and the month of June trembled like a butterfly…
With its etymology in growth, green stands for hope and pushing through darkness and discouragement. It is a secondary color on the color wheel, but a dominant color in nature. Said to be the most relaxing to look at, green is a color of harmony, tranquility and peace. Going outside and being surrounded by it can almost instantly lower blood pressure. It can symbolize a start as in a greenlight and a completion as in a check. It indicates stability, endurance and balance.
In our subtle bodies, green corresponds with our heart center - trust, generosity and gratitude.
SUBTLE BODY
Heart Chakra (Anahata)
The fourth chakra, the Heart or Anahata, is Sanskrit for “infinite” or “boundless.” The heart is the first of the four “higher” chakras, where we begin to move out of the realm of our physical needs and into more spiritual parts of our being, including connection and unconditional love. An open heart allows us to let go of hurts from the past and to enjoy intimacy freely - to communicate with empathy, to forgive easily, and to love without expectation.

Activities to balance your Heart Chakra: Create a daily practice of gratitude. Journal all of the things you are grateful for in the day - anything is fair game, nothing too big, nothing too small. Place your palms together in gratitude at heart's center, or place your hands - skin to skin - on your chest at heart’s center and allow yourself to experience gratitude, for yourself, for loved ones, for anything at all. Allow yourself to notice the physical sensations of your heartbeat and the rising and falling of your chest with each breath, as well as the emotional sensation of both loving and being loved.

POEM: Nothing Gold Can Stay, Robert Frost
Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
